Hi, and welcome to my new blog. I write mathematical models to trade stocks, options, futures and forex. I have been doing this for a few years now and thought it was time to start writing down some thoughts and comments I have about the world of trading and the economy.
Math is a much 'purer' world than the real world. There is an elegance and symmetry in formulas and numbers in modeling the real world that isn't seen in the real world itself. Markets go up and down on the whims of human decisions, but those decisions ultimately have to be reconciled with the logic of math.
In the conflict between these two things, human emotion and mathematical logic, there is a wonderful world to examine and discuss. This is the primary area that I hope to explore and hope that you will join me in by reading and commenting.
